As a seafaring nation, the Netherlands has a long tradition in providing innovative maritime solutions. Marine technology and products from Dutch companies have earned worldwide recognition.
The maritime sector including shipbuilding technology is one of the focal areas in the economic and trade relations between The Netherlands and Vietnam. The Holland Marine Equipment Association organised the first economic mission to Vietnam in 2005. Since then, visiting Vietnam has become its annual activity. The presence of Holland Marine House Vietnam since 2007 facilitates Dutch maritime suppliers setting foot in Vietnam.
